[ sometime post-invest, nico wanders into the grocery store in damp clothes and his demon on his shoulder. the little friend chirps every now and then while nico's showing it some options for food, but he glances over to where kogi is and gives a short nod. ]
Absolutely not poggers. [ WHY IS IT STILL TWO PEOPLE. ]
You'd think it would be less shocking, but no. Everyone has to continue to let me down week after week by forcing us to continue this stupid cycle of murder and trials and executions.
[ the demon chirps in agreement as if it has any concept of what nico's talking about. ]
...it's another chance of us missing culprits, and I can't say I'm looking forward to that. But maybe it will be.
You think people are gonna slip up and be easier to catch in lies the longer we do this? I wasn't sure it'd be that or if people would get better knowing what kind of stuff we look for.
Realistically, it may be more of both. One may become used to following the familar patterns of these trials and hide within that, but in the same while, would it not be easier to see were somebody to try?
[ someone has watched over far too much court intrigue, this probably would not happen in a group of chaotic humans. but still! ]
Ah, perhaps it is too hopeful but one certainly wishes the patterns were that easy to find.
...in a sense, maybe. It'd be easier to see if someone was going to lengths to hide something they know that we usually try to search for, but only if we had reason to believe they were hiding in the first place.
[ the cocoa puff is crawling to his other shoulder. ]
Too hopeful or not, it's not really a bad thing to consider and keep an eye on just in case.
[ it bonks into kogi's hand, which means he feels like he's petting smoke suddenly. ]
Fair enough. [ he's dredging up the tiniest scraps of knowledge in his head of non-greek things. ] That's...Japanese swordplay, isn't it? Like samurai. I think I read about it once or twice.
That it is. The art of the katana. [ he's probably not wearing kogitsunemaru (sword) to the grocery store help but he pats his hip anyway like it's there. don't mind while he looks momentarily surprised when he just hits air instead. ]
While this fox certainly hasn't taught anyone, the practice still requires quite a decent amount of patience and temperament for both student and master.
[ kogi help, your body (?). but nico doesn't seem too surprised by this because he gets it. he's used to having his sword too. ]
I don't doubt it. Our training takes a while to really get down, too. A lot of practice and a lot of nearly stabbing yourself or other people. [ shrug. ] But a lot of us are self-taught or we're teaching each other.
[ sometimes you're like 'maybe i will do my best not to stab someone over the last package of aburge today' (no). anyway, he just formed fully trained and ready to go, so imo he's the least valid here. ]
It is certainly admirable. Learning by oneself is always difficult without great discipline.
it's quite odd. concern is normal but perhaps not to this degree of I am mere seconds away from breaking. one is perhaps more used to the understanding that we are not normally as ........ fragile.

We've been pwned again.
[ ....his eyebrows twitch slightly because what are these words happening help him he's not cool and hip enough for this ]
At any rate, one can only hope this week will be better than last.

[ terrible! ]
I would at least be inclined to believe as we continue, sorting truth from falsities will become easier to spot.

I suppose we can only wait and see.
[ and then they get love bombed by the absolute bonkers nonsense and kogi stares into the void for about 30000 years ]

Hey man, some of us aren't as good at the waiting and seeing game as we probably need to be. Be a little sensitive to that. [ it's a joke. entirely. ]

Hahaha, I suppose that takes far more patience than even a teacher could ask for.

A teacher? [ "of what?" goes unsaid. ]

Kenjutsu. What else would a sword teach patience in?
[ he says but like, the miho team definitely taught more than that. but this ain't about them right now ]
