[ welcome to phoenix dorm, tama, where nico happens to find her while he's actually out of bed. he is definitely in, like, a t-shirt and pajama pants, sorry. but there's hugging and he's just hugging back without question, sagging into her for a moment and not saying a word. ]
[ there's like a tiny kitten squeak with that but he doesn't let go anyway. ]
I...have no idea. I just woke up a little bit ago, but I don't...[ squinting in thought. ] He was all healed, and I think he treated me. The mortal way.
Yeah...[ YEAH...sweats. but he shrugs a little. ] Someone probably checked him before we got back, but I'm not going to lie and say I'm not happy about that.
[ ... ]
Tama, what...happened? [ he passed the fuck out and then had zero recollection of anything after that. ]
[ he seems confused about that, but mostly in the sense of "i'm glad but i wish i understood stuff." ]
Then...something must have occurred while we were in the arena. I have no idea what but...[ he sighs. ] I'll take it. I wish it could have happened for some of the others we've lost, too, but...this is a really good start.
Or... some kind of condition? But I have no idea what it could be. Or why it didn't happen for anyone else? I'm happy it did, but-- [ them finding out in the final week people could've been saved hewwo. also me, as before, genuinely forgetting that there's probably a save role out there until britt started yelling like wha ]
... But nothing, actually. It's just nice to have some good news for once.
But nothing. I'd feel more conflicted if I didn't know we were seeing the rest of them in a few days, but all I can do is be grateful something good happened on a Sunday for once. I bet the others are losing their minds over on the other side though if they can really see everything.
They better not have. [ immediately grumpy. ] But I guess that's just something we can ask them when we see them. "How much can you really see over there?"
Wonder what trials are like over there when they don't have to actually solve it.
Less headache inducing? I wonder if they can see a bigger picture from there. When you're removed from a situation and have a third party view, you might pick up on other things.
I guess it's something we could ask them if we feel like it's that important, but considering this better have been the last trial maybe it doesn't matter anymore.
Or wherever we want to go. [ he feels strongly about this. ] If people don't want to go where they actually came from, we should make sure they can still go somewhere else.
Will and I are definitely going back. It'd be kind of a mess if we just disappeared permanently. But I've told a few people they can come with us if they'd like to.
Do you think weβll be able to do that? Bring people to other places? [ β¦ ] Thereβs not going to be a collapse in the space-time continuum or something if we doβ¦?
...I didn't think about it, but probably not. If we can just write it into the book when we get our hands on it how bad can it possibly be? We just have to add a failsafe to prevent the...collapse or whatever.

Did you and Will get checked up at the hospital?

[ no more powers. ]

The mortal way. Good.
[ BECAUSE. BOY. wow. ] You must've done then. Or someone must've checked Will over, or given him a Remedy or two.
