I'm still mad about things. All demigods have a fatal flaw, after all. [ he smiles a little, but it's not amused. sometimes you're a hades kid and your fatal flaw really is holding grudges. ] But there are things I've had to learn to let go if I wanted to be better. And help people. And prove things to my father.

He's done a lot for all of us. We've worked together a few times. And I mean, yeah. We're friends.

Supposedly it's a normal teenage thing to be mad at your parents. But I did just see him recently and we talked. It went much better than I anticipated.

...yes? [ pensively. ] Hades hasn't been a great father but I do understand that he's trying. I have to acknowledge that, at least. And...things have improved. In a sense, I suppose you could say we're all we have left. So it's probably better this way.
Sure. [ he can agree with that, sort of. ] I mean there was an incredibly long period of time I didn't even know who he was, let alone how to talk to him. It means I'm pretty sure my baseline for this stuff isn't great, but yes it's better than being miserable.
...there are probably some things that are better off ignoring, Tama. But after we left the hotel and after we got to camp it still took some time to realize who my father was. And after that, it took longer still for me to make it down to the Underworld to talk to him. Re-meeting your godly parent for the first time right at the height of a war that's brewing is never good timing.
Things were already starting to stir by the time we left the hotel. They'd just gotten much worse later. But I did manage to convince him to actually help, so I'll take credit where credit is due.
[ he considers this, or at least pretends to. he figures he does not need to worry her further by explaining his appetite's completely gone thanks to weird post-anxiety nerves. ]
Probably nap...you can stick around the dorm for a while if you want though. I've heard Fox doesn't mind the extra company. [ a pause. ] Also there's a bowl of candy in the kitchen that somehow magically refills itself.
