That...is what I've wondered. Who reported the gunshots? Why didn't anyone do anything before we woke up? I've been wondering if it's possible to set up cameras or something around the city to see if we can catch any glimpses of what happens on Thursdays.
They said the ones that were already there were turned off... [ why's there security cameras in one piece. and why are they snails. whatever. ] You think it'd be any different if we put some in ourselves?
I don't know. But we're not going to know until we try it ourselves, are we? [ sometimes you get tired of other people telling you how things should go and take matters into your own hands. ]
[ he seems to pause in his thoughts, because that actually makes sense. ]
...I don't think that's a bad idea either. If we know what's coming now, who says we can't set things up before Thursday night to try and trap whoever might be out there? Or at least give us a clue to what's happening while we're asleep. What sort of traps do you think would work?
Traps you can lay out in a city are a lot different than traps you can in a forest. [ so he's thinking about it for a little, mulling it over ] I don't know that we could trap people all night in any way, with the range of powers we've got. But maybe we could do something that'd leave a trace on whoever went inside places? I don't know how you'd do that without them noticing though. We're not exactly talking about wild animals.
Something hard to get rid of then. Paint? Or glitter's a good one. [ he's brainstorming please hold. ] Even something scented like perfume or something strong that you can't get rid of without multiple washes. This is where the Halloween store would probably help us if we had dyes or something we could use to mark people. Set up something in the doorway so it hits them on the way in.
This is sounding a little less like traps and more like pranks. [ he's just pointing it out amused but ] But glitter's good. It has to be something that's hard to wash off anyway.
It is not. [ it is. but damn. ] Either way it's not like anyone would notice if it looked innocuous enough, right? Glitter's the best option if we can find enough.
If we get some glitter and rig a system so it rains on people when they exit, at least even if they do manage to wash it off themselves it'll still be on the floor. That'll still point us in the right direction.
That's probably more likely than you think. We can stick with the glitter idea until we find something better. We'll have to scout the entryways of buildings and figure out where the most traffic goes to set stuff up, but we have a few days.
Considering I think Argalia was doing it just to test if circumstances had to be the same? I very much doubt it. [ ... ] But rigging the headquarters might not be a bad strategy anyway.
It's worth a shot, I guess. [ he doesn't answer what he'd do because he has no. clue. ] Anything's better than sitting back and hoping for the best anyway.
Exactly. So starting Monday when we see where they're letting us explore next, we can start looking for the best places to mark and set up traps. We'll go from there.
