HAPPY HALLOWEEN BITCHES 🎃

Welcome, foolish mortals, to the Haunted Mansion...though you may have once known it as the Crimson Phoenix dorm. As you approach, you may find that the area is hardly recognizable. There are several tables set up outside hosting all sorts of activities, and at the front and center is a small, cheerfully crackling bonfire. Scattered around the outside are several fake tombstones with equally fake inscriptions painted on them and lit by soft glowing lights with various skeletons posed around the graveyard. In the front on the way to the main door is a twelve-foot skeleton dressed as a witch, and from here you can see three inflatable pumpkins on the roof. Approaching the dorm itself, you'll find that the outside has been decked out in lights and decor, and the inside is just as elaborate and extra. Terrible idea to give teenagers unlimited money and time on their hands, huh?

As you enter through the lobby, you'll find that you may be guided to enter a haunted maze. Adventurers beware...

...but for those of you who are more interested in the festivities upstairs, residents of Phoenix dorm will happily shuttle you up to the second floor in an elevator decked out with floating candles. Upon reaching this floor, you'll be greeted with the lounge. There are plenty of couches with red cushions and blankets for maximum comfort, and the entire floor is equally decorated. Various horror movies play on mute from the TV mounted against the wall, and music seems to reverberate throughout the dorm everywhere you go. Loud enough to enjoy, but not loud enough to disrupt conversation. Hanging from the ceiling there also appears to be a large pinata in the shape of the moon, a large wooden stick leaning against the wall with a bandana draped over the top...batter up!

The four bedrooms appear to be blocked off with caution tape, but the two bathrooms and the kitchen are open to everyone. And while there's a third floor...there's nothing of interest up there other than space and more decor to admire as you mingle.

The party's just getting started. Have fun and get spooky.

[ that makes him laugh again? but it's a little more fond this time. ]

Funny. Can't really tell when you're still wearing the stupid helmet, but I'm almost afraid to look again.

[ he really is just. dressed as darth vader and straddling his goth ass, huh. his thumbs are still rubbing little circles over will's hips since he's there, but he's also letting him stay there while slowly becoming aware of the fact his legs might fall asleep just because will's taller and outweighs him by like forty pounds. ]

[nico don't just let him stay there at your legs' expense.]

You've got good instincts. I bet whenever you have me take it off, it'll be gone.

[ why not, will would just carry him anyway? ]

That's a lot of faith in me and my instincts, you know. What if I pick at the wrong time? That's also assuming I want to kiss you back.

[ he says, as if that was even a fucking question. literally who are you trying to fool. idiot. also i guess will is close enough to also see his fangs so that's fun. ]

I have complete faith in you. You know that. [he says this completely genuinely ... in darth vader's voice.] But I guess that's fair. If you don't want to kiss me I'll just have to wait until you do.

[he may be staring at those fangs but it is literally impossible to tell with the helmet on.]

Yeah, I do know that. [ musingly. it is something will tells him a lot and something he thinks on, and something that is. really fucking weird to hear in vader's voice oh gods he cannot keep doing this for much longer but no. he's determined to win. "win what?" the game he decided he's playing. so he leans back in the chair slightly, and he's staring at the helmet anyway before there's a slight movement of his tongue over one of the fangs, and he looks down at his claws for a bit. ]

And how long would you be willing to wait, exactly?

[there's a slight tilt of the helmet as will's gaze lingers on the way nico's tongue moves over his fangs before looking down to follow the path of nico's gaze to his claws.]

I might be waiting impatiently, but I'd wait. [softly - ] You're worth the wait.

[ no...stay strong...he cannot see what will's actually looking at but he can absolutely hear everything he's saying and feel himself starting to crumble.

which is why a hand comes up to gently push at the front of the helmet. ]

You cannot be really cute right now when you're wearing a voice modifier. It's terrible.

[will smiles. and then, hopefully, as the front of his helmet starts to get pushed up - ]

Does this mean you think it's safe to ditch the helmet?

[IS HIS MUSTACHE GONE.]

No, but I literally can't keep listening to this. [ originally he'd been pushing the helmet into will's face to shut him up, but now he's doing the ultimate cat move of "fuck this thing in particular" and trying to push the whole helmet off. begone!!!

ALSO YOU TELL ME, BRITT, IS THE MUSTACHE GONE OR ARE THERE EVEN MORE MISTAKES FOR SOME REASON. he really hopes its gone, gods. ]

[just kidding, it is gone, i just wanted to use the icon char made. anyway, with the helmet off, his voice is back to normal.

he smiles at him warmly.]

[ i. deeply. hate this. icon. char how could you do this to me personally. anyway this thread is now officially last so everybody else can see this 'stache in person icly. anyway. there's no helmet and there's no mustache and he seems very pleased with himself. ]

[he leans in, pressing his forehead to nico's.]

[ there's a little grin at that, and he doesn't pull away. you are both literally outside and there are so many people around, but sure. let's continue to flirt in front of god and everyone. ]

I did tell you that you didn't really have to ask anymore, didn't I?

[he chuckles]

Just checking to make sure the memory of the mustache wasn't a dealbreaker.

[but with that being said, he leans in to kiss nico deeply.]

[ honestly he should protest that will reminded him of the mustache right before doing this, but his mouth's occupied. it means he's leaning back again and pulling will with him, a clawed hand immediately threading into his hair to keep him in place and following along with the kiss.

the mustache really, really was the deal breaker. amazing. is he maybe letting this go a tiny bit longer in public because he's extra annoyed about all of the curses? perhaps. also, because he wants to. ]

[will makes a soft, appreciative noise as nico's claws thread into his hair. he has no intention of moving away, although he does adjust a bit to make them both a bit more comfortable as nico leans back and he's pulled after him to continue the kiss.

they should maybe not be doing this in fornt of god and everyone but honestly? will does not care. he is sitting in his very pretty boyfriend's lap and he is having the time of his life, thank you very much. happy halloween.]

[ happy halloween, it's his party and everybody can just deal, apparently. he keeps up with the kiss, slow and languid and doing nothing to remove will. he should. they should maybe do something other than this, but...well. things are still bad outside in the real world. there's still a few more weeks to grapple with because they can try to reach a happy ending.

frankly he doesn't want to think about it and would rather do this, claws scritching over will's scalp and a echoing noice following even when a fang very delicately bites down on will's lip. just because. happy halloween, it's debatable who's stopping first. ]

[well. the sound will makes when nico bites down on his lip and when his claws scritch over his scalp actually surprises him. but he does not stop kissing nico, because, hello? how is he supposed to stop when nico's not stopping? he would gladly kiss him until he ran out of air and passed out.

...although nico would probably not like it if he did, so he does break the kiss to breathe after, uh, a while.]

[ oh. very nice, very interesting, very much keeping that in mind for later. eventually, they break the kiss and he tilts his head back to grin up at him from where he's still under will. ]

Look at that. Not a dealbreaker. [ he is still scritching at his scalp, but he kisses at his jaw again anyway. ] Surprise.

he smiles at nico, absolutely lovestruck, and is sorely tempted to shift his head so that kiss to the jaw turns into a kiss to his lips. he does not, because there are people around, but.]

...if I didn't want to kiss you anymore? [ he sounds so amused, but he's also nuzzling at his neck instead. ] Don't worry. Like I said, I've got some plans for you later.

[ but they're busy more or less being wrapped up in each other and they're very public, so he he stops to focus on what will says. ]

Not too much? I wanted to do some other stuff with the maze on the first floor and add some more stuff to the decor but ran out of time. And Jolyne helped a bunch, too.

I'm really looking forward to finding out what those plans are.

[anyway! yeah. they sure are in public. so maybe no more talking about their plans. it's fine.]

It's awesome. I haven't gone through the maze yet, but I totally want to check it out. You and Jolyne did a great job.
