Welcome, foolish mortals, to the Haunted Mansion...though you may have once known it as the Crimson Phoenix dorm. As you approach, you may find that the area is hardly recognizable. There are several tables set up outside hosting all sorts of activities, and at the front and center is a small, cheerfully crackling bonfire. Scattered around the outside are several fake tombstones with equally fake inscriptions painted on them and lit by soft glowing lights with various skeletons posed around the graveyard. In the front on the way to the main door is a twelve-foot skeleton dressed as a witch, and from here you can see three inflatable pumpkins on the roof. Approaching the dorm itself, you'll find that the outside has been decked out in lights and decor, and the inside is just as elaborate and extra. Terrible idea to give teenagers unlimited money and time on their hands, huh?

As you enter through the lobby, you'll find that you may be guided to enter a haunted maze. Adventurers beware...

...but for those of you who are more interested in the festivities upstairs, residents of Phoenix dorm will happily shuttle you up to the second floor in an elevator decked out with floating candles. Upon reaching this floor, you'll be greeted with the lounge. There are plenty of couches with red cushions and blankets for maximum comfort, and the entire floor is equally decorated. Various horror movies play on mute from the TV mounted against the wall, and music seems to reverberate throughout the dorm everywhere you go. Loud enough to enjoy, but not loud enough to disrupt conversation. Hanging from the ceiling there also appears to be a large pinata in the shape of the moon, a large wooden stick leaning against the wall with a bandana draped over the top...batter up!

The four bedrooms appear to be blocked off with caution tape, but the two bathrooms and the kitchen are open to everyone. And while there's a third floor...there's nothing of interest up there other than space and more decor to admire as you mingle.

The party's just getting started. Have fun and get spooky.

Look at you. You're looking quite stylish tonight. [ They look at the screen again. ] I'm used to seeing one of Ox's animated movies. This one is quite different compared to it.

Jolyne helped a lot with the makeup. But...you know. Halloween. [ he's watching the screen too though. ] What kind of animated stuff does Ox usually watch? More two-dimensional?

Maybe I should have her help out with mind some time.

[ They don't know Halloween, but won't ask at the moment. ]

More two-dimensional and much more wholesome compared to this. I believe the last one we watched had a witch with a delivery service.

I bet she'd say yes. She was teaching me a little about technique, too, but some of this was more advance than I could do alone. [ he hums to the assessment of what rabbit says though. ] ...I think I've heard of that one, but I don't know if I've seen it. With the black cat, right?

Maybe we could make a day of it. Maybe drag the pretty bird with us. [ It could be fun. ]

Yeah, that's the one. They have a collection of movies like that. [ Further proof that they all actually like each other. ]

Uh, yeah, we definitely are. I kind of get the feeling they'd be a little too into it, too.

[ but he smiles faintly. maybe he'll con will into watching k*ki with him. ] They sound nice. I've been trying to catch up on a lot of movies and stuff that've come out over the years, but I've fallen behind on animation a little, I think. Maybe I'll ask them for recommendations sometime.

I believe they would be. [ They won't repeat that the bird likes being fussed over or made pretty. He's heard it enough times. ] I will admit that you all make quite the lovely team.

You should. I'm sure they would even lend you some if you wanted or host you and the others for a watch.

You think? [ he does not qualify himself here. ] Jolyne knows her stuff and...I don't need to reiterate about Phoenix. You and I both know.

[ there's a low hum to that. ] I'll think about it. It always feels like we have only a limited amount of time to relax for stuff like that...it always takes a little planning in advance. I mean this was all last minute because we wanted to throw a party but it was easy enough to say everybody was invited no matter what.

I have been spending enough time with you all to know. [ he counts too! ] You also look good, Little Bird.

I suppose that is true, and with everything happening there doesn't leave much room for breathing. We'll just see if we get a moment then.

[ Looks at everything that happens... ]

You are always here. Not that that's a bad thing, mind you. The company's nice. [ but he looks mildly startled, and it's followed by a gentle, almost-shy laugh. ] This is definitely outside of my usual but...there are parts I like? So maybe I'll reconsider some things.

[ a slow nod...they do not know it yet, but the rest of the week truly is A Lot. ]

And we're still gonna probably get roped into something even tomorrow, too. At most we can enjoy tonight guilt-free.
