How we were all confused how or why any of us would want to act like a villain when the whole game's pretty dumb. But then I thought about yesterday and how I really thought I was just a thief who wouldn't stop until we completed our heist and got the treasure.
What if it's like that? Someone who has the capability of making some of us think we're villains who have to take out heroes?
I don't know. [ immediately. it's fine, she can get the sense he's actually a little freaked out by the thought as well. ] It wore off for me when we got back to the city, but...maybe we have to look and see if anybody's acting differently than usual.

Remember what I said yesterday about what Phoenix told me? About what to look for? They mentioned villains saying things outside of the normal villain fare, and Reigen said the notes sounded like normal villain stuff. But what if that's not the villain we're supposed to be paying attention to?
[ what if that was a thought that they should listen to a "villain" say things that would make them second-guess a hero. ]
I don't know. [ and this time there's a tinge of frustration in his tone. ] I don't like the idea that we're going to have to label another one of us as a villain, but I like it even less thinking all of this happened on purpose this time.
[ he is a firm believer in the idea of justice, so of course he wants to find who's responsible. but on the other hand he knows the possibilities are way too high that they're going to hate the truth and will have to live with that. ]
[she has so many complicated feelings about the word villain. it's almost funny, that she got dragged here, made to deal with it so fiercely, so quickly.
he's a firm believer in the idea of justice, and so is she, in a sense - her justice is maybe a little more violent or selfish, but... there's a squishy part of her that doesn't want that. she doesn't want people to die. not really. there's a part of her that aches because this is just a reflection of the very long life she's lived.

If it was on purpose, we have a reason to be angry. [she says, quietly.] The worst part is waiting. That's all we can do is just - wait until we know more, and I kinda feel like a pod person saying that, but.

It didn't feel right to be mad when Mika was too ready to accept our judgment for something she didn't do on purpose. It'll be different if this is someone who went through with this knowingly.
