It's not--okay, well, yes it is that but it's also I'm used to taking care of things myself. It feels uncomfortable sometimes asking too much from other people.

I'd mostly like to figure out why this is happening. Why people are being taken away at all. That's the first thing.

And Reigen would be too much?

Yeah, I guess answers are what we should look for first. But I'm no good at that kind of thing. [ give him something to punch please. free him. ]

Reigen's pretty human. [ so it's hard to say what his baseline is. ] But he knows some things, so...maybe someday.

[ he's frowning in thought at that. ] I don't know about answers either. We got another paper this time, but I think it's something we need to share with everybody again.

Someday. [ or maybe not because he murdered. idk if that makes nico more or less likely to confide in him ] Group sharing's probably better, so you don't have to repeat yourself as much either.

[ very funny because literally right after this convo he had a really long conversation with reigen so siz is actually the worst. ]

I like group sharing so I don't have to talk as much, you're right. Plus Will and Reigen would be there anyway and they can answer more of the questions. It's...more stuff that doesn't make that much sense to me. But what else is new about this place.

It's always something else to give us a headache. [ ace laughs a little ] You know what Luffy does when he doesn't understand something? Just calls it a mystery thing and moves on. Wish we could do that.

I would love to live life the way your brother does. [ please he wants to think so much less at all times. ] I think I know a few people like that, too. But...guess the only way people like them can exist is if people like us exist, too.

He's definitely surrounded himself with people who can help figure that out for him.

Well, I tried my best before I set sail, but I know I'm not the smartest. Sometimes I'd be the one to tell him things were a mystery just so he'd stop asking.

You always come back to that even though it's not really true. [ not being the smartest, he means. ] Also if he didn't follow up after that then that's his own fault. Nothing to be done for that.

[ laughs a bit, for both parts ]

It kind of is, though. S'alright. I'm not trying to pretend otherwise. [ shrugs ] Luffy follows up when it interests him, mostly, so it's pretty easy to get him distracted.

Just show him another mystery to decide if he wants to pursue it or not? It would almost feel mean if it didn't work every time you did it.

I'd just distract him with meat, actually.

...why meat? Does that actually do something every time?

If you think I'm bad, Luffy's a walking stomach. The rubber body means he doesn't even have limits!

I'm torn between that being extremely horrifying and also extremely cool. Is that how I'm supposed to feel?

Sure, something like that! [ he can't actually SAY luffy's cool he's the older brother, ] Let's just say his crew's cook must be working overtime.

Sucks to be him, but I guess if he's a cook he probably likes doing it. [ rip sanji. i think a lot about how he knows sanji in another timeline. ] ...we have a lot of people with a lot of different abilities, but we don't really have someone like Luffy.

Well, I might be a little biased, but I don't think there's anyone anywhere quite like Luffy. [ GROSSLY fond ]

I'd say that's pretty biased, but you're allowed. And I promise I won't say a word to him if I ever meet him someday.
