[it's like, instinctive - he crawls in behind her and she turns over and koala clings to him, burying her face against his chest, near the crook of his neck. comfy... she doesn't exactly run warm, but she's been out here for a bit so she's probably sleepwarm. heated blanket cat.

she'll wake up for real in a bit, but for right now she probably drools on his shirt. sorry this is the dead sleep of a person who is very relieved that her brother did not have to kill his boyfriend by electrocuting him to death.]

[ it's a battle to see which of them is actually going to wake up first to be honest. also their previous icons match and that's cute. anyway. she turns and curls up against him and he wraps an arm around her to hold her close, adjusting so she's not laying on his arrow wound but keeping her cozy. he's half awake and half not, eyes lidded and face resting in her hair as she proceeds to snore and drool on his shirt.

the adrenaline of the day has left everybody and it's major nap hours. now that she's here, he has no intention of moving though so she can sleep all she wants. he's just vibing with his own thoughts. ]

anyway when she finally wakes up it's with a little ungraceful snort and a start. she blinks a few times at him, and then like. yawns in his face like a cat and flops back down. she's awake at least.]

Hi. [she mumbles sleepily.]

[ thanks nimona. there's a slight, closed-lipped smile though as he moves to kind of fix her hair. ]

Hey. Everything good?

Mmhm. I slept like zero hours but I'm good now -- but.

[stretches lazily.] I should be asking you that, sheesh.

That makes two of us. [ sleeping is not easy when you're worried out of your mind. he doesn't stretch or pull away from, her letting her do what she wants and laying back on the couch. ] I'm...pretty tapped out still, I think. Everything feels bad but like in a good way.

[ code for "i feel fucking wretched about what happened but i can't be too upset because my boyfriend's still alive and we all needed to celebrate saving someone, somehow." ]

[she settles back down with her forehead and nose pressed against his neck.]

Whatever happened in there didn't count. [she says, huffily.] So you can feel good for once.

[she's not irritated at him for being conflicted or anything, she's just exasperated with the world for being mean. he deserves a break.]

I think it counts in a few ways. I definitely still have a new hole in my best. [ "will definitely has a permanently scarred face and lightning scars because of me." ] But I get what you're saying. I do...feel really, really good something happened to save him. I don't know how it happened but we couldn't afford to lose anybody else after this weekend.

[ok but the lightning scars are sick as fuck.

Yeah. And then... Tuesday we get everybody. So - it's okay. We just gotta make it until then.

[ correct, and they'll grow on him eventually maybe. ]

Yup. You saw the paper and the weather report, right? Sounds like we might even get to see them as early as Tuesday morning. Day going into the night. That's...well, now it's two and a half days from now. We can make it. [ ...man. ] We should do something for Reigen and Ace for when they come back. Not like a party or anything but just something so they know we've been waiting for them to come back.

[nodding at that first part, and then:]

Yeah. I think so too. [she glances up at him.] I told a couple people already, but I want all of us to make pirate flags. I put some up on the boat already, so... that, but also.

[she thinks for a second, and then:] We should think of something for Reigen. Like, um. I don't know, maybe we can get him a gift or something? Make him a cake.

[she could ask hung but she kind of wants to do it herself, right? like a kid bringing their parent breakfast in bed.]

[ he's positioned so he's still half propped up and half burying his face in the couch, eyes partially closed while he listens to her. ]

Pirate flags would be cool. Special ones for each of us. And for Reigen...we could do a cake, or even just a nice meal. I've been reading more cook books and some of the recipes aren't that hard, I guess. [ squints. ] ...there are also places online where you can make special blends of tea. What if we did something like that for him? Make a blend of stuff that seems like stuff he'd like and get him a nice tea set or something.

Yeah. Yeah, I think that's cool.

[maybe it's kind of lame but she gets a little kick out of the idea of being able to make something with nico to give to them. not that the others didn't miss reigen and ace too, just. sometimes she likes not sharing.]

I can help you do the cooking? And we can find some teas.

[ it's super lame, but...he feels the same, like usual. it's something they're doing themselves for people they care about. it'd be so easy to just buy something from a store and pretend it's good enough, but if they do both...

he nods though, and he's reaching into the pocket of his pajama pants to fish for his phone. it's a little harder because claws, but he has seemed to figure out how to use the touch screen anyway to search amazoom. ]

Sure. I don't know what we could make him but...maybe something more traditional? Asian noodles can't be that different than Italian ones. Or we can try a dessert that isn't cake. I haven't done a lot of cooking but I think I'm getting better. [ in the. few times he's tried here. but he soon turns his screen to show her a teapot and cup set. ]

What about like that?

[she laughs a little when she sees the teapot and cup.] The whale looks stupid, I love it. Let's do that one.

We could try making ramen or something, I don't know if that's too simple. [she has some experience in cooking actually i just remembered that she made fish tacos in the movie] I can make some stuff. We've got like, half a person's experience between the two of us!

[hooray!]

[ shoves it in his cart and clicks order c: ]

Should be here tomorrow so we have plenty of time. [ hm... ] Ramen should be easy enough. We can add all the extra stuff in it like eggs and spinach and pork and stuff. [ it is possible he's also just hungry, finally, himself. ] Half a person's experience is still better than nothing. And we have a couple of days to test it out.

[nodding!!] We can do the extra pork, too. He used to get all fussy about having to pay more for it.

[even though they have infinite money but whatever

a pause, and then, a little absently as she shifts:] ... I'm gonna enjoy this as long as I can.

That sounds good...we'll go grocery shopping tomorrow. Will can carry the basket. [ don't just assign that to him, the man just died.

but he tilts his head, opening his eyes a little more. ]

Mm...which part? Just being able to plan stuff like this?

Oh - yeah, I guess. That. [she smiles a bit at him.]

[ listen. he knows his boyfriend's a himbo. it's fine. but he opens an eye wider and just stares at her.

yeah he does not believe it's just that, please continue. ]

[she just goes like ??? what. what is wrong with that statement.]

[ give him a second to think. honestly though, that's a mood. and he's still pretty raw from earlier today, and the weekend (and weeks and weeks of everything) so his only response is hugging her a little tighter. ]

...you know. When we get out of here, there's going to be a lot more time to do stuff like this without trying to cram it into the first half the week. I'm kind of looking forward to that part.

[she kind of seems... sad, for some reason. she seems glad for the hug, at least, curling her fingers into his shirt.]

Oh. Yeah. [...] Yeah, you guys will... you'll have a lot more time to do stuff that isn't solving dumb moon murders.
