[ and here we are in the lounge of phoenix dorm, nico sitting on one of the couches with the cocoa puff and sort of scrolling through his phone. upon noticing sigrun though, he nods to her.]
[Sigrun is still positively fuming. She's pretty obviously frustrated. After a moment, she drops her head into her hands, sighing heavily]
Just...what good is this city if this is what they'll do to some kid whose only crime is to know zero things about gun safety?
[Which yeah, Mika was pretty stupid for that, but the thing about what happened is that it's partly solved by thoroughly educating Mika about the dangers of guns. It won't bring Rocket back to life, but it'd prevent Mika from doing anything similar to this again. What point is there in executing Mika, this is just ridiculous, she thinks!]
[ he just kind of listens to her go for a moment. ]
We never thought this city was going to be completely good, or they wouldn't have needed to kidnap us here to fix it for them. But now that we know how they really view heroes it makes you wonder if this was going to be inevitable the moment any of us did something they didn't like at all.
Probably a little of both, really. I'm sure there is something wrong with our worlds now if they were able to pull us from them so easily, but at the same time I could believe all of this was just to get us to do their bidding for a bigger plan of some kind.
Could be the reason they brought "heroes" in to try and fix a problem. It's just that the people who brought us weren't honest about the problem to begin with. And they won't outright say it either. It's too soon.
Do you really think they would care? Even if we're against them, currently we can't do anything about them. That's the only problem now. [ ugh. ] I'm not sure what to do yet. But accepting it isn't an option.
...then...if you do something, make sure it'll be something you won't regret.
[Looks like Sigrun has no intention to discourage Nico. If he feels he must act, then she's just going to sit aside. Perhaps it's bias because they're in the same team but she trusts enough of everyone in Crimson Phoenix's judgment to think they won't do anything blatantly stupid or immoral]
[ he thinks that through briefly before there's a not-quite-sincere smile. more like the kind you give when you're reassuring someone else and are not entirely sure about yourself. ]
I've never had regrets when it comes to things like this. Don't worry. I know exactly what I want to accomplish here.
[ the fist bump is a little confusing, but he goes with it. awkwardly, maybe, but an attempt is made. ]
Sure thing. Do the same for yourself, too. [ they all need to remember to look after themselves a little more. maybe if he had he would not have gotten arrested, but it's fine. ]
w0 saturday
...not really how I thought today would go.

[ murder or otherwise. ]

[Sigrun sighs, staring at the ceiling]
Think the whole thing about worlds being in danger is true, or it's them trying to fool us into behaving the way they want?
[Well, it's not like they can take risks with that anyway, but still, can't help but suspect foul play. She probably is wrong, really!]

[Or it could be just corruption, that's not impossible]

[Maybe they even would manipulate things to lead into executions like this]

[ apparently breaking into jail is though. ]

[Sigrun passes her hands through her hair, exhaling. This is all so damn stressful in a way she's not used to]
Some chance will come. I'm sure of it.
[And if it doesn't, then one must create it, one way or another. Just rolling over and accepting things won't do]

Waiting is only an option for so long, Sigrun. Something will have to change before then. [ he has already gone far past the point of patience. ]

[Apparently Sigrun believed it with no doubt. She even puts a fist for a fist bump]
You seem like you have a decent enough head on your shoulders. Take care.
[She has absolutely no idea it's going to turn out as drastic as taking part in a jailbreaking attempt, really]
