[ he doesn't answer back immediately because he doesn't always check his phone, but eventually: ]
sure just don't be surprised if the reverse ever occurs going forward i understand why and i don't disagree with you doing it there shouldn't be any leniency
sure grill me if you ever think i did anything to anyone don't be afraid of that
[Sigrun is...she's a tad soft despite her role as a captain and what not, truthfully. If she had good inklings a close friend or someone in her team did something wrong, she'd at the very least not direct suspicion at them, and at the very worst, try to take the fall, but at the end of the day she'd like to know.
There shouldn't be any leniency, but...send someone she knows well and supports to be executed? She can't see herself doing it]
in fact don't hold back if you ever have to do that
[Because if she can't be strong enough to do this, she hopes others won't back down if they're in such a situation.
She really hopes the day she'll have to face someone she wants to protect and try to help get them caught for a murder in this city will never come]
[ which isn't exactly true, but he seems to think that sigrun is need of the reassurance that nico won't hesitate should it come to this. he would really prefer if it did not, but. you know. as you do. things in this city keep changing and it's...difficult to say what might happen next. ]
but we'll see. somehow i doubt it will ever come to that but if it does i'll ask everything i need to ask at the time
you know you seem to get a grip on this all pretty well
are you used to this whole thing about accusing and having to deal with the fallout?
[Especially for his age, she thinks to herself after sending the message. So many around here seem to have some trouble handling the situation, one way or another, but Nico seems...he seems to be keeping himself together well.
Perhaps it helps he has Will, but that can't be all. Perhaps he just is a strong person, she thinks]
not exactly not like this anyway but we've had a lot of problems in our world that required a lot of work to solve them panicking about fallout isn't going to help us
[ if he allowed himself to panic about everything that has and could go wrong they wouldn't get far enough to save the world multiple times, really. ]
so overall this is one problem more in an already troublesome life
[She recalls the kind of stuff Nico had said to her back during the first day they met, about how it was about working hard to stop things from not turning into an apocalyptic end]
its all about the sorta thing you mentioned the first day, right? when we talked about my world
you could say that will and i are sort of used to crises popping up whenever some deity or another gets mad and decides they want to try and stage a takeover of the world
[Gods can be defeated? She's not so surprised deities try to take over the world and being generally some jerks because, you know, she knows about the Norse pantheon and that includes at least passing knowledge about the Ragnarok and the such, but she thought the point of deities was that they were incredibly powerful! And yet it seems Nico and perhaps Will can defeat them...
sure, but everything has a weakness just like everything has a strength there are certain things that can be done to make sure the world doesn't end it's just our job to make sure those are accomplished
yeah that's true oh well whatever happened happened no point in thinking about stuff besides hey, where I came from the gods aren't all taht bad i think the mages once said it was because they all connected with the old gods again that humans gained powers again guess they're not too bad even though theyre deities and what not
[She's not sure how that's true because, well, she's no mage, but yeah, the in-universe explanation is that, kind of. The higher plane entities of Stand Still Stay Silent must be kinder than the ones in Nico's world]
[ he's actually not sure of what to say to that. ]
maybe so deities are different in all sorts of worlds some are bound to be nicer than others we have a lot of kind ones if you know how to talk to them and where to find them but likewise we have a lot who just want to kill us all the time you sort of learn to deal with both and worry about the details later
Week 1 -- Some Time After Trial
thanks for answering my questions about your power during the trila
made me confident you had nothing to do with it
no regrets about having asked though i had to do that
[She's one to take action and at the time asking Nico about it seemed like the right course of action]
no subject
sure
just don't be surprised if the reverse ever occurs going forward
i understand why and i don't disagree with you doing it
there shouldn't be any leniency

but what else is new?
[ he is only blasΓ© about it because this really is just another tuesday for him. ]
you could say that
will and i are sort of used to crises popping up whenever some deity or another gets mad and decides they want to try and stage a takeover of the world

[Gods can be defeated? ...impressive!]

just like everything has a strength
there are certain things that can be done to make sure the world doesn't end
it's just our job to make sure those are accomplished
no subject
i wish you had been in mine
then maybe things wouldn't have gone badly
[Sigrun, what do you think Nico could have done against a global mutagenic infection? At least ask for Will!]
no subject
you're still surviving and still regrowing
[ yeah maybe don't ask the death child about fixing a zombieish problem. ]
no subject
oh well whatever happened happened no point in thinking about stuff
besides hey, where I came from the gods aren't all taht bad i think the mages once said it was because they all connected with the old gods again that humans gained powers again

maybe so
deities are different in all sorts of worlds
some are bound to be nicer than others
we have a lot of kind ones if you know how to talk to them and where to find them
but likewise we have a lot who just want to kill us all the time
you sort of learn to deal with both and worry about the details later

no subject
they're never really good reasons
so we don't give them much of a chance to explain before we fight back.
